Qualified fitters are scarce and often hours away; working remotely removes the drive radius entirely, so you get an experienced certified fitter without waiting for one to come within reach. In-person fittings remain available as a premium option — but for most riders, virtual is the right place to start.

I am Stefanie Reinhold, certified Passier® saddle fitter and certified Herm Sprenger® bit fitter. Having worked with literally thousands of horses in my professional activity as a certified Masterson Method® Practitioner, I had come across numerous discomfort profiles in horses that pointed to ill saddle fit. Combining these insights with classical German riding principles learned during my Bereiter apprenticeship in Germany in the late 1970s, I concluded that I can best serve horses and riders by rounding my skill set with saddle and bit fitting knowledge. After all — we can only be as successful with our horse as the least-performing aspect of our “circle of care” (Walter Zettl) allows. Horse wellness has always been my passion, and I am honored to now help horses of all walks of life to a more comfortable ride, and riders of all disciplines to more success in the saddle.

What We Often See
Saddle Fit Problems We Can Identify Remotely
Many of the most common saddle fit issues present clearly — once you know what to look for. These can all be assessed through the virtual fitting process.
Behavioral Issues
Bucking, resistance, pinned ears, reluctance to go forward. Often caused by a gullet plate that is too tight, tree points that are too long, or a saddle that bridges.
Rider Discomfort or Imbalance
Sitting pommel- or cantle-high, difficulty maintaining position, discomfort in seat or hip. Often a saddle balance or twist issue — not a rider problem.
Loss of Performance
Shortened stride, restricted shoulder movement, loss of impulsion or engagement. A saddle sitting too far forward blocks the shoulder — the horse simply cannot move freely.
Back Tension or Soreness
Sensitivity to grooming, cold-backed behavior, muscle atrophy behind the shoulder. These are the horse's clearest signals that something is wrong.
